We offer the following advertising options:
The LGConnect discussion groups are very popular email based online discussion forums available only to the local government. They allow council staff and elected members to communicate with each other to discuss a variety of issues in a collaborative environment across regional and organisational boundaries. LGConnect has over 100 discussion groups. Many local government staff are subscribed to multiple groups so the number of actual subscriptions is over 17,000.
The LGNewsBulletin provides a curated list of current local government news in a twice-weekly newsletter to more than 6,000 subscribers. This newsletter features important news affecting the local government sector as well as upcoming events and programmes offered by SOLGM. It also provides a platform for councils to advertise current job vacancies. All subscribers to our LGConnect service automatically receive the bulletin.
We offer two forms of advertising within the LGConnect discussion groups and LGNewsbulletin:
Advertisers who wish to reach a broader audience can purchase an advertising space in the LGNewsBulletin website. Advertising on LGNewsBulletin.co.nz allows advertisers to reach both local government employees and the general readership of our news service including businesses servicing the sector, central government and individuals with an interest in local government. The advertising space is for a static image 300 x 250 pixels in size. Advertising can be purchased on a monthly basis.
Pricing: $500+GST per month.
If you would like your product or service to be delivered via our LGConnect discussion groups we offer the ability to send an advertising message (branded banner and 150 max word message) through your choice of LGConnect groups. These groups are segmented by interest area and we can assist you select the best group or groups to meet your needs.
The banner to be supplied in JPEG format with the dimensions Width: 1165px x Height: 225px
Pricing: $100+GST per message per selected group with a minimum spend of $200.
If you have an event or training course which is relevant to the local government sector you can choose to advertise with our Event Advertising package which will reach over 8,000 individual subscribers. Your event will be placed in our twice-weekly LGNewsBulletin e-newsletter, distributed once to your pick of one of the relevant LGConnect discussion groups and included in the online LGNewsBulletin Sector Events page for a maximum period of one calendar month (please note that events that are similar to those we offer the sector will not be approved for advertising).
Pricing: $400+GST per month. Your event can be distributed to additional LGConnect discussion groups for $100+GST per group.
We also have a number of sponsorship opportunities available with a wide range of pricing options. Your organisation may sponsor one of our many events including our annual Gala Dinner and our Annual Summit.
