Overview
The innocuously sounding Local Government Act (No 2) Amendment Bill returned to Parliament in mid-September. This is the Bill, that as introduced, gave effect to the previous Government’s so-called Better Local Services reforms.
The Bill has moved a long way in the Parliamentary process. The Government’s proposed amendments will remove the last vestiges of Better Local Services. The amendments will make some significant changes to the re-organisation process and will considerably strengthen local authorities hand’s in their dealings with their CCOs.

This is a webinar for anyone who works with CCOs and other council-related organisations; anyone who wants to know what opportunities might be present in the ‘new’ reorganisation process; or wants to know where Better Local Services finally ended up.
