How Local Government Works® e-learning programme

Are you planning for your next budget round? If so, have you considered building ‘How Local Government Works’ into your planning? Twenty-eight councils have subscribed to our e-learning programme, LG How Local Government Works® since its launch in October. That's 580 local government professionals learning in their own time and at their own pace. Our next e-learning course will be Rating KnowHow. This course is particularly suitable for rating staff, revenue managers and team leaders, finance managers, legal staff, and those with an interest in rating. NZ Diversity Survey March 2019

We are helping Diversity Works New Zealand gain a deeper understanding of the diversity issues that really matter to New Zealand businesses by asking our members to complete the 2019 New Zealand Diversity Survey. Everyone who completes the survey can enter the draw to win a free place on a three-hour training workshop covering one of the diversity and inclusion issues important to your organisation. ACC Injury Prevention Grants

ACC has workplace injury prevention grants available to provide funding for organisations to help solve workplace health and safety problems that affect multiple businesses in an industry or supply chain. ACC partners with these organisations to help carry out projects and share benefits with other businesses. Organisations can apply for between $50,000 and $500,000 (excluding GST) per year for a maximum of three years. Masters of Public Administration (MPA)

This a new Masters of Public Administration programme offered by Massey University which has been developed with close co-operation from SOLGM; LGNZ and the PSA. The course is aimed at current managers, or individuals interested in moving into management roles in local government. The course is offered on a part time basis over a three year period. The taught component will be delivered both by on line learning and block course mode.
