SOLGM has scheduled two new webinars.

What happens next with online voting?
6 September (with a recording available after the live webinar)

Online voting remains high on the list of priorities for LGNZ and SOLGM. We’ve been progressing discussions with central government ‘behind the scenes’ for the past few months. Giving approval for the policy and technical work will be one of the first decisions an incoming Government and Minister will take. This webinar will set out a proposed sector-led approach to a trial of online voting in 2019. To learn more, and to register your entire council for $50 so you can make an informed choice about joining the trial, click here.

The 2017 SOLGM/BERL Adjustors
4 October (with a recording available after the live webinar)

By the time this webinar occurs, SOLGM will have released the latest edition of the SOLGM/BERL adjustors and the Local Government Cost Index. Most local authorities treat these as one of their key forecasting assumptions for long-term planning purposes.

This webinar is a good opportunity to get some practical forecasting advice from one of New Zealand's leading economic forecasters, Dr Ganesh Nana. To learn more, and to register your entire council for $250, click here.

2017 SOLGM Annual Summit

There's now less than one month to go until our 2017 Summit, a highlight in the local government calendar. This is a must-attend event for local government professionals. You’ll hear from high-profile speakers, explore emerging trends and future focused topics that are redefining our society and the way we work, and network with colleagues from across the country.

We are also offering a 5+1 group discount. Councils who register five people can bring a sixth person for free. Smaller councils can combine to receive the offer. To find out more, and to register, click here.

Thank you to our sponsors Simpson Grierson, PwC, BERL, Civic Financial Services, QV, NZIER, JLT, LG Hub, Nexus Australasia, Structured Conversations, Anthony Harper, Heaney & Partners and Magiq whose support makes the Summit possible.
