A couple of weeks ago the Government introduced the Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill 2016, also known as the Better Local Services legislation. SOLGM will be running a one day seminar to give local authorities the opportunity to explore the implications of the Amendment Bill through a series of interactive workshops and plenary sessions. It will also provide an opportunity to contribute to the development of the sector's submission on the Bill.

The Seminar is on in Wellington on 14 July and you can find out more and register here. However because the Select Committee is still to set a submission deadline this date may be subject to change.

This event is suitable for finance, asset and strategy managers, CCO managers, advisors and specialists as well as policy advisors and analysts. Please note that this event is primarily for council staff. Non-council staff should email our Manager, Sector Improvement, Raymond Horan if they would like to attend.
