Applications for alcohol licenses and regulation of licensed premises are primarily a responsibility of Territorial Authorities under the Sale and Supply of Act 2012 (the Act).

The objective of the Act is that the sale, supply and consumption of alcohol should be undertaken safely and responsibly and the harm caused by the excessive or inappropriate consumption of alcohol should be minimised.

The resource links for Territorial Authorities and District Licensing Committees made available here are produced by the Health Promotion Agency and other organisations.
