About this event

Our workplaces are undergoing a fundamental transformation and with it our workforce challenges will be significantly different from those of today. As we plan for the future we need to face the reality of change. The Taituarā Future Workforce Forum will address four key burning topics at the heart of our current thinking around the future of People and Capability and Human Resource Management in Local Government. Our four key topics will address:

  • What are our Future Talent needs and what systems do we need to put in place to transform Local Government?
  • How do we build capability in our existing workforce and inspire them to succeed?
  • What are the demographic and economic changes that will shape our individual workplaces?
  • How can we deal with the reality of a Government and community driven mandate to ‘change the way we do things round here’?

This Forum will focus on providing opportunities for you to apply “disruptive thinking”, share good practice, build relationships to foster collaboration and shared services (a clear mandate from Government), and commit to make a difference in your Council at a strategic level.

Discussion groups and workshops will be a feature and we encourage you to bring your teams.

Come and take a fresh look at our pressing people issues and join us on the journey.
