A highly engaging leadership development opportunity that also builds strong collaborative relationships within councils and between competing councils. Registrations close 28 February 2019.

About this event

The Australasian Management Challenge is a simulation-based team building, learning and networking program using real local government themes – the types of issues that a senior management team in a council would most likely face.

Please visit Local Government Professionals Australia, our sister organisation’s website to view additional information, including a short video of Challenge Day and testimonial videos by CEO’s, mentors and participants speaking about the many benefits that the Management Challenge delivers to individuals, teams and organisations.

If you haven’t registered a team before - we strongly encourage you to do so.

If you think your council is too small or too far away – join forces with another council or apply for the smaller council subsidy. Registrations close on 28 February 2019.

The New Zealand leg of the Challenge will take place at Silverstream Retreat (the Retreat is a 25 minute drive from the Wellington CBD and 35 minutes from the airport).

We will be holding two Challenge days - one on 21 May and one on 22 May 2019. Teams will be advised of the actual date of their Challenge day once we know how many teams have registered. You’ll need to arrive the evening prior for the pre-Challenge dinner.

The NZ Leg winner will be announced in June 2019.
