About this event

Future Workforce Forum is the place to meet council HR, OD and LD council colleagues, explore the big people issues, get inspired and get the access leading thinking and tools to help with the coming year.

With some big legislative changes, a tight labour market, ongoing discussions about pay and equity, a focus on how councils can compete for talent, and a rapidly changing learning environment there is plenty to keep up with.

This year’s forum will focus on:

  • Contrast and complexity – getting to grips with LG workforce challenges across the NZ
  • Front footing people and resourcing pressures – gender pay, living wage, flexibility and competitiveness
  • Workforce Planning – this has been on my list…where do I start?
  • The Legal Landscape – compliance and policy update
  • Performance Management Update – research into what works and what doesn’t
  • Growing personal resilience – Caring for yourself so you can care for others
  • Building a high trust environment – what leading organisations are doing
  • On your behalf - Report from the SOLGM Workforce Working Party
  • Building networks and support – Health and Safety, HR, OD and L&D

There will be plenty of time for networking, sharing ideas, and getting to know LG people practitioners from around NZ.
