About this event

This annual two day Forum provides an engaging programme tailored to meet the specific needs of EA and PAs working in the local government environment and includes:

  • "Easing your pain - enhancing your gain" with office productivity guru, Debbie Mayo Smith. Debbie promises you will be utterly wowed by this session which will give you clever immediate solutions to your email and calendar time wasters.
  • We're having a panel discussion on "How to optimise the EA/PA and Manager relationship". Confirmed panelists are Elizabeth Barbalich, CEO and Founder of international green beauty brand, Antipodes New Zealand and Anusha Guler, Manager, Democratic Services at Wellington City Council. We expect to have two EAs or PAs on the panel as well.
  • Bring your walking shoes and get ready for an insightful visit to Parliament. The tour will be with a trained guide and will visit key parts of Parliament’s buildings. You’ll learn about New Zealand’s system of government and parliamentary processes. The House is in session at the time of the Forum so we have made a special arrangement for delegates to spend some time watching from the public galleries.
  • John Tulloch, GM Communications at WorkSafe New Zealand is providing a quick guide to the new Health and Safety at Work Act. This is a very topical subject and John will cover how it will help lift New Zealand's workplace health and safety performance.
  • Delegates will "Get Dotted" with Amy Scott. This will be a morning long session that is fun, highly interactive and very rewarding. You’ll gain insights into your communication type and how that can hugely benefit interactions with both your manager and your work colleagues. Amy is a fully accredited in the New Zealand "Dots" Communication model. She has risen to being one of Australasia’s most sought after professional speakers with her dynamic delivery on the art of communication.
