Please note the ticket allocation for our Annual Gala Dinner has been exhausted.
Our annual Gala Dinner celebrates the outstanding contributions of local government professionals to the success of the sector. This year it is being held at Mac's Function Centre in Wellington on 14 April 2016 beginning with pre-dinner drinks at 5.30pm.
At the dinner we will be announcing:
- The winners of the 2016 McGredy Winder Taituarā Local Government Excellence Awards ® including the five project categories, from which the Supreme Award winner will be selected and the, new in 2016, Emerging Leader of the Year Award.
- The recipients of our Overseas Manager Exchanges
- The recipients of our Leadership Scholarships
- The winning team from the New Zealand leg of the Australasian Management Challenge teams.
Applications for our Overseas Manager Exchanges and Leadership Scholarships are open till 11 March .
The Marketplace
This is a new initiative for 2016 and will provide exhibition space for entering councils to showcase their projects to both other councils and representatives from central government. The Marketplace will be open at Mac’s Function Centre, the same venue as the Dinner, from mid-day on the 14th of April. Guests at the Gala Dinner will also meet for pre-Dinner drinks in The Marketplace. There is no entrance fee.
