This second Health and Safety webinar focuses on four different perspectives of the reforms - a legal; Elected Member; Chief Executive and operational perspective.

H&S Training - Roadshow
We also have a must attend H&S Training Event presented in partnership by Taituarā and LGNZ in conjunction with Simpson Grierson. This one day training is designed to cover key responsibilities under the Health and Safety Reform Bill. The morning session is suitable for Elected Members, Chief Executives, Human Resource Managers and all staff directly involved with H&S. There will be two streams available in the afternoon session, one tailored to Elected Members and the other tailored for Chief Executives and staff. The programme and registration will be made available shortly.

Partner, Simpson GriersonSamantha is a partner and she heads the employment group in Wellington. She has extensive experience in employment law and health and safety.
She provides advice on a wide range of employment issues, including bargaining, contract drafting, personal grievances, disputes, restraint-of trade-issues, disciplinary matters, human rights, privacy, accident compensation, health and safety, and the Holidays Act. She also provides strategic advice on restructurings and acquisitions. She has advised on a number of cases involving stress, bullying, and incompatibility.
Samantha's health and safety work includes all aspects of strategy and policy development and incident management.
Samantha acts for a number of our key clients in the public and private sectors, including national and international corporate clients, local government, district health boards, Crown entities, and government departments.

Kevin led our work on the local government response to Covid-19. He is now working on the water reform agenda. Kevin was the Chief Executive of Wellington City Council for 7 years and prior to that had CEO roles in England with Cornwall Council, an amalgamation of seven councils, and the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. Kevin also spent 13 years in the private sector, including a spell at Price Waterhouse Consulting. He also set up a successful tech start-up and ran a number of large divisions of FTSE 100 companies.
Kevin is married to Catherine and they have two teenage sons, Daniel and Jack. He spends his leisure time walking their two dogs, watching movies, playing masters football and mountain biking.
