This webinar will provide an overview of the proposed National Policy Statement on Urban Development Capacity (NPS) and its application.

About this event

With submissions closing on the 15th July this is your opportunity to gain valuable information before contributing a submission.

Housing supply and affordability are big issues at the moment. High house prices drive wealth inequality, increase the fiscal burden of housing-related welfare, and pose a risk to the national economy.

The proposed NPS aims to help reduce regulatory barriers to the supply of housing, and reduce the cost of housing relative to income.

Presenter Tanya Perrott, Principal Advisor, Housing Policy Development, Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment has led the development of the NPS and is an expert in this area.

They will cover:

- the development of the NPS including the international research and cost benefit analysis

- The submission process sand timeline

- The implementation

Please note, a recording will be made available.
