Ten members receive Attendance Awards

The Executive Committee granted ten NZ Society of Local Government Managers (SOLGM) members the 2008 SOLGM/Simpson Grierson Conference Attendance Awards.

The members receiving the Awards are:

  • Annika Lane, Group Manager, Policy and Planing, Western Bay of Plenty District Council
  • Cameron McIntosh, Group Manager, Services and Assets, Southland District Council
  • Chris Hewitt, Human Resources Manager, Selwyn District Council
  • Chris Jensen, Manager Regulatory and Planning, Kawerau District Council
  • Deborah Goomes, Finance Manager, Chatham Islands Council
  • Jim Crook, Strategic and Policy Planner, Horowhenua District Council
  • Jude Pani, Manager, Secretariat, Environment Canterbury
  • Owen Pickles, Chief Executive, Chatham Islands Council
  • Richard Bax, Community Assets Group Manager, Waikato District Council
  • Sheryl Poulsen, Office Manager, Kaikoura District Council

The Award recipients will be receiving cash prizes that will go towards their travel and accommodation to this year's SOLGM Annual Conference in Paihia, Bay of Islands on 7-9 September 2008.

The Awards are sponsored by Simpson Grierson. This is open to all SOLGM members who have not been to a SOLGM Conference or come from a local authority with a population of less than 15,000. 

Eligibility for the SOLGM/Simpson Grierson Conference Attendance Awards is one of the key benefits offered to SOLGM Full and Associate Members.
