The local government sector has been asking for practical, “no-fuss” training in project management skills for a long while. SOLGM set out to create such a package. Now we are delivering it.
SOLGM has joined forces with The Integral Group Ltd to design and deliver a straightforward Introduction to Project Management for Local Authorities which will be useful at every level of the organization. Since last June, we have delivered project management courses in a number of local authorities and the feedback on each has been extremely positive.
Experience from each of them has enabled us to offer a refined ‘suite’ of basic courses:
The courses emphasise the practical and are based, wherever possible, on real projects of the council. They are delivered in-house at the local authorities’ own premises to keep the cost to the minimum and ensure the widest possible attendance across the organisation. We strongly believe that the best way to entrench good project management practice is to expose as many staff as possible to the principles.
An enjoyable and informative workshop which met the initial objectives of bringing a range of staff up to speed in project management.
