SOLGM’s New President Announced

Clare Hadley, Chief Executive of Rangitikei District Council and current Executive Member Central Branch has been duly declared elected as SOLGM President for the incoming year.

Ross McLeod, Chief Executive of Hastings District Council and Athol Stephens, General Manager, Finance and Corporate Support of Dunedin City Council are re-elected as Vice Presidents.

Branch Secretaries have advised that the following have been elected as SOLGM Executive Committee Members:

• Northern – Sue Bidrose, Waitakere City Council, Director of Wellbeing
• Midlands -- Gary Allis, Engineering Group Manager, Western Bay of Plenty District Council
• Wellington – Wes ten Hove, Chief Executive, Masterton District Council
• Top of the South – Paul Davey, Chief Executive, Selwyn District Council
• 45 South – Michael Ross, Chief Executive, Waitaki District Council

Central Branch will have an election as two nominations for the Executive Committee Member position were received. Branch Secretary, Shayne Harris, will send voting documents to Central Branch members by May 10 for return by May 31 when voting closes.

The new Executive Committee comes into office on 1 July 2010.
