Conference Attendance Awards for SOLGM Members

Nine Receive Simpson Grierson Conference Attendance Awards

The Executive Committee granted 9 SOLGM members the 2009 SOLGM/Simpson Grierson Conference Attendance Awards. The recipients are:

• Neil McCann - Group Manager, Engineering, South Taranaki District
• Maree Thompson - Human Resources Manager, Waitaki District
• David Edmunds - Chief Executive, Far North District
• Gillian Payne - Strategic Planning Manager, Western Bay of Plenty District
• Pauline James - Community Services Manager, Stratford District
• Naomi Woodham - HR and Communications Advisor, Hurunui District
• John Jones - Operations Manager, Stratford District
• Helen Brosnan - Corporate Planner, Taupo District
• Owena Schuster - Democracy and Governance Manager, Waitakere City

Each recipient will receive a cash grant that will go towards their travel and accommodation to the SOLGM Annual Conference in Palmerston North this September. 

"I congratulate this year’s recipients of the Conference Attendance Awards. The SOLGM Annual Conference with its focus on ‘Leading in Challenging Times’ will provide valuable insights into and inspire us all to become better leaders," said SOLGM President Steve Parry.
