Four Exchanges Awarded

2010 Overseas Manager Exchanges

The 2010 Overseas Manager Exchanges have been awarded. Once again the number of applicants exceed the number of exchanges that were available. This was somewhat exacerbated by the fact that the exchange to United Kingdom remains suspended at the request of SOLACE, meaning that only four exchanges are available this year.

SOLGM members awarded exchanges are: 

Peter Mickelson, Group Manager Policy and Planning, at Thames Coromandel District Council to travel to British Columbia and attend the LGMA Conference in Whistler on 18-20 May 2010

Richard Mabon, Strategy Group Manager, Waitaki District Council to travel to the United states and attend the ICMA Conference in San Jose California on 17-20 October 2010

Chris Ryan, Chief Executive, Waitomo District Council to travel to Australia and attend the LGMA New South Wales State Conference in Westin, Sydney on 14-16 September 2010

Philip Melhopt, Chief Executive Central Otago District Council, to travel to Australia and attend the LGMA Queensland State Conference in Twin Waters on 12-15 October 2010.
