Two SOLGM Members Receive Award
MWH International Conference Attendance Awards for the LGMA National Congress
The SOLGM Executive Committee has awarded Michael Freeman, Chief Executive, Stratford District Council and David Hall, Chief Executive, South Waikato District Council, MWH International Conference Attendance Awards to attend the LGMA National Congress in Adelaide in May.
Each award is worth $1050 plus GST towards travel and accommodation costs. The objectives of the awards is to expose our managers to developments and challenges in local government management overseas and for them to learn from this experience and develop contacts with their overseas peers.
Reports from both David and Michael on their Australian experience will be published in the next issue of Pulse.
In June SOLGM will be calling for applications for three Awards for members to attend the ICMA Conference in San Jose, California in 17-19 October.
SOLGM thanks MWH for their continued support in assisting SOLGM members increase their knowledge and capability through attending international events for local government managers such as this Congress.
