This year's Local Government Communication Forum takes place against a backdrop of economic and political uncertainty. The sector, already under pressure to 'do more with less' will come under increased pressure over the coming months. This forum will provide communication practitioners a platform to develop their ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with their communities and within their local authorities.
The SOLGM Local Government Communication Forum Best of the Best Awards recognises and celebrates excellence in communication practice. Recognising and sharing examples of communication excellence within the sector, helps us improve the quality of council communication both internally, to our staff and stakeholders, and externally, to our communities.
This year's Award categories are - Best Media Release; Best Council Newsletter; and Best Communication or Community Consultation/Engagement Plan for the Draft LTCCP.
