Dear :Person_firstname: Our inaugural SOLGM Gala Dinner is being held in Wellington this Thursday, 16th of April. The Dinner celebrates the outstanding contributions of local government professionals to the success of the sector. In particular, the winners of the 2015 McGredy Winder SOLGM Local Government Excellence Awards® will be announced. These Awards recognise the very best in professional excellence and innovation in local government management. More details, for those attending the Dinner, are in our website here. For those who can't make it you can follow announcements live on Twitter #SOLGMGALA. We'll also be adding photos from the event to our Facebook page during the week following the Dinner. LGMagazine will be covering the Dinner too so look out for their next issue. Also being announced are the recipients of our Overseas Manager Exchanges and our Leadership Scholarships. Finally we will announce the New Zealand winners of the LGMA Management Challenge held in Upper Hutt on the 31st of March. Nine very strong teams from councils around the country entered this year and took part in a great day. The winners of the NZ leg will then go on to represent New Zealand at the Australasian finals in June.
