1:00pm: Senior Leadership Roles in Local Government – What Recruiters Look For
Greg Tims, Director, Greg Tims and Associates

For many senior leadership roles in local government, Councils and CEs use an external consultant to work with them to help them to identify and select the right people. The recruiters are their eyes and ears, and how you engage and work with them is an often an underestimated part of the selection process. Are you targeting the right role, have you presented your skills, experience and achievements in a way that highlights your suitability and does it align well with what is being sought, so that a recruiter wants to connect with you?

This interactive workshop discussion will focus on the way that you could approach selecting the right role to target, and how you can enhance your opportunity to be interviewed and selected. It will also provide an insight into what Councils and CEs are currently looking for in their future leaders, and how you could package and highlight this in your application.
