LGMA National Congress Attendance Awards
SOLGM members are eligible to receive a conference grant to attend the LGMA National Congress is usually held in May in Australia.
Call for applications
We are calling for applications for the International Conference Attendance Awards to attend the LGMA National Congress on 19-22 May, Hobart Tasmania. The theme of this year's congress is Great Society - the Role of Local Government.
This is a great opportunity to learn about what is happening in the local government sector in Australia and may provide you with valuable insight to take back to your council.
Value of the award
A grant of $1,500 will be awarded to one SOLGM Full Member. The grant may be used to cover travel, accommodation and registration costs. The awardee will have to cover the remainder of the cost to attend the conference in Tasmania.
Eligible SOLGM Members
If you are a SOLGM Full Members who have not attended an LGMA National Congress in the past, then you are eligible to apply.
Share your learnings
The award recipient will be asked to write a short piece about their experience for the Pulse e-magazine and the SOLGM website.
